World’s most dangerous Footpath opened for Public

The Government of Spain has re-opened Caminito Del Rey Footpath to Public on 28th March 2015 located in Madrid. To promote the site, authorities have announced free visits for first 6 months. You can reserved your visit by online registration for Caminito Del Rey Footpath, however due to heavy rush by people, you have to wait till July, as no date is available for visit till June 2015.

Caminito Del Rey is a 3 KM long pathway opened by King Alfonso XIII in 1921, however the original construction of pull was constructed between 1901 to 1905 by “Chorro Hydroelectric Society”. The Pull connects two dams to each other by passing through the river. About 600 tourists can visit it daily to feel the thrilling and blood freezing experience by walking 100 meters above the rivers. This narrow Cliffside path provides amusement and leisure to visitors.

Attraction for Caminito Del Rey (Walk of Death):



As the pull Caminito Del Rey is situated on a narrow Cliffside, the path is also known as Walk of Death due to its dangerous look. Mountaineers wish to visit the site across the world to enjoy the risk involve.

Safety Measurements:
Caminito Del Rey is about 2.9 KM long. The pull is made of wooden made board walk supported by 1.2 m high three wire guard rail. You can cover the distance of Caminito Del Rey pull in about 3 to 5 hours, depending on how you feel on the bridge.
