Marsh and Hogg Ruled Out Lions from Champions League

Lahore Lions required a must win with heavy margin to qualify for Semi Final, however Lions took it to hard, and lost the match. Marsh and Hogg made Perth Scorchers home with their super strokes in death overs. The pair added 68 runs for 8th wicket. Rest of batsmen struggled to move the score board.

Invited for batting first, Lahore Lions started very bad and lost top 4 batsmen on 11 runs, including Nasir Jamshed and Umar Siddiq on 1 run, while Muhammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz failed to even score a single run.

Heros of previous match started well, however Hogg picked up dangerous Umar Akmal on 26 at mid wicket. Saad Nasim batted well for his brave innings of 69 and helped Lahore Lions from total distractions. Muhammad Saeed also scored 20 runs. At the end of innings, Lahore Lions put only 124 runs on board.

Perth Scorchers


In response, Perth Scorchers also started badly, and they lost their 7 wickets on 62 in just 12.1 overs. Now Scorchers required 63 runs on just 47 delivers with 3 wickets in hand, at that movement, Brad Hogg joined Marsh, the couple played the best cricket and make their side home with 7 balls left. Hogg charged Wahab Riaz in second last over with 3 massive sixes.

Marsh named Player of the Match for his brilliant knock of 63 on just 38 balls including 7 boundaries and 3 sixers.
