Pakistan Beat Zimbabwe in a close encounter


Pakistani Cricket Team beats Zimbabwe in their third Cricket World Cup 2015 Match, Misbah choose to bat first after wining the toss, however the worst start put Misbah 11 deep trouble as by the end of first mandatory Power Play, Pakistan managed to score only 14 runs and lost two batsmen. After 15 overs, Pakistan only put 33 runs on board, 50 comes up in 112 balls including 9 extras.

Green Shirts managed to score 235 runs in 50 overs, Wahab Riaz scored unbeaten 55 runs on 46 balls. He scored his first 50+ runs in ODIs and helped his team to put a defendable target to go with. Misbah also scored quality 73 runs on 121 balls with the help of 3 4s. Umark Akmal added 33 runs, and Haris Sohail scored 27 runs. All rounder Shahid Afridi returned to pavilion without scoring a runs on his Birthday.

T Chatara took 3 wickets in his 10 overs quota. SC Williams took 2, while Mupariwa and Raza shared wicket each.

Chasing a low target, Zimbabwe lost (Chibhabha 9) on 14, Haris took his catch on the bowl of Irfan, (Skindar Raza 8) was next to go on 22 with the help of same pair, i.e. Sohail and Irfan. Zimbabwe lost 3rd  wicket on 74 when Irfan took his third by getting (Masakadza 29), this time Misbah helped him to took his 3rd one.



B Taylor was looking dangerous and scored 50, however Wahab Riaz picked him up behind the wicket. Rahat Ali picked up aggressive Williams soon after Zimbabwe crossed 150 runs. Ervine left pitch on 168 behind the wicket on the ball of Riaz, while Irfan picked up Mire on same total of 168.

Chigumbura scored 35 runs and was last hope for his team, however entire team was out on 215 on 4th ball of last over of the match.



Over today’s win was team work, and every player contribute with bat, bowl and in field. Umar Akmal took 5 catches behind the stumps, however Nasir Jamshed left another easy catch and this could be 5th wicket for Muhammad Irfan. Shahid Afridi though couldn’t add to score with his bat, however he bowled madden over which build up pressure on Zimbabwe. In the end, Pakistan Beat Zimbabwe by 20 runs.
