Jaxeri Automotive's Electric Revolution: Launching Fully-Electric Compact SUV in Pakistan by 2025

Jaxeri Automotive (Pvt.) Ltd, Pakistan's innovative electric vehicle maker, has announced its intention to introduce a pioneering fully-electric compact SUV in the nation by 2025. This announcement has created a buzz, sparking excitement and hope for an eco-friendly transformation in Pakistan's automotive sector.

A Glimpse into Jaxeri Automotive's Research and Development

Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, the Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), recently toured Jaxeri Automotive's local R&D facility. This visit provided an opportunity to brief the chairman on the forthcoming innovations in car manufacturing, including the progress on the fully electric compact SUV. The company's spokespeople emphasised that the SUV would be entirely locally designed and produced, showcasing Pakistan's engineering capabilities.

Expected Launch and Domestic Production

Jaxeri's eagerly awaited electric SUV is slated for a 2025 launch in Pakistan. Despite economic challenges both locally and globally, the company remains steadfast in its mission to bring innovation to Pakistan's car industry, relying on domestic talent to build the SUV.

A Look Back: The Jaxeri Nur-E 75

On August 14, 2022, Jaxeri grabbed headlines with the reveal of the Nur-E 75 prototype, an electric hatchback aimed at the economy car segment. Created by the DICE Foundation, a Pakistani-led US NGO, the Nur-E 75 features a robust single electric motor producing 107HP and 200 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 127 km/hr.

Nur-E 75: Abilities and Performance

The Nur-E 75 offers an impressive driving experience with each charge, thanks to a 35 KWh battery that provides up to 200 kilometers of range. Charging options are flexible, with standard charging taking 7-8 hours and fast charging filling the battery in just 2 hours.

What Lies Ahead for Nur-E 75

Commercial production of the Nur-E 75 is scheduled to begin towards the end of 2024. With around 60% of its components manufactured locally, the Nur-E 75 symbolises the emerging growth of Pakistan's domestic production sector. However, potential buyers may need to prepare for potential price increases due to economic fluctuations in Pakistan.

Jaxeri's dedication to fostering an eco-friendly future for Pakistan's automotive industry remains unshaken. The company is driving the country towards a more sustainable tomorrow, despite any obstacles that may arise.
