Thai Army impose Martial Law in Country

The political unrest in Thailand resulted in killings of 30 people and injuries to several. The street protest turned into violence and damages to public properties, the situation was sensed by Thai Army and they had imposed Martial Law in Country.

Martial Law in Thailand

The Thai Army Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha said in his statement that Army is taking the charge of country in order to fulfill the job to protect public from any inside or outside danger. The protest was started in November last year, when opposition party started protest against Thai government. Thai Army has stated that it was staging a military coup.

Thai Army on Tuesday at 3:00 AM took the command and announced on Television, while Ministers were not informed by Army plans.

Army Chief Prayuth said that,"We are concerned this violence could harm the country's security in general. 
Then, in order to restore law and order to the country, we have declared martial law”.

On the other hands, caretaker of government, Justice Minister Chaikasem Nitisiri stated that, “The Government doesn’t have a problem with this and can govern the country as normal”.
