Men claim their superiority over women as they are physically
stronger than women and can perform well in certain situations. Women in Europe
are enjoying equal rights, but the women of a village from Brazil are enjoying
their lifestyle in which women lives alone where no man is allowed to enter in village.
Yes I am talking about Novia do Cordeiro
located towards South-East of Brazil.
Novia do Cordeiro is located about 300 miles north of Rio de
Janeiro, dotted with sweet tangerines, groves of thick-skinned, ipe trees and
banana plants. These features make the village beautiful, but this is not the
reason which capture of media towards Novia do Cordeiro. Inhabitants of Novia
do Cordeiro are specifically beautiful women with ages between 20 to 35 years,
while most of the female are single looking for their love.
The news spread in world like fire when Telegraph reported a
week ago, “women desperate for men”
Nelma Fernandes, 23, in his interview to Harry Wallop, she
said that the girls of village meet with men are either married or related to
any relation i.e. cousin. She reveled that she hasn’t kidded a man for a long
time. She said, “We all dream of falling in love and getting married”.
Women of Novia do Cordeiro handle all matters from
harvesting of crops, cooking courgettes and aubergine (eggplant).
Noelie Fernandes Pereira, at the age of 42 is an agriculture
worker to grow vegetables, fruits and rice to feed residents of village and to
earn money. About 80 women workers are assign with agriculture work
responsibilities. She said, “This Place is special because of the love of
everyone”.
One the residents said that the skewed female to make ratio
in village is not as bad as it seems as men who live here return by the end of
week to spend time with his wife or love. She added that, “we miss men a lot,
we always look forward to the weekend when they return from work”
