Pakistani Women Cricket Team beat Bangladesh to gain their
title in Asian Games. Women of Pakistan have earned first Gold Medal for
Pakistan as the T20 Team defended their title by beating Bangladesh.
Pakistani Women T20 Team scored 97 runs in a Rain-affected
match, Green shirts lose 6 wickets for 97 runs, while Bisma Maroof remained top
scorer with 24 runs to her name. Bengali Leg Spinner Rumna Ahmed picked up two
wickets in her quota of overs.
Bangladeshi Women Team was provided by new target of 43 from
seven overs, the total was revised with the help of Ducworth-Lewis Method after
heavy rain.
In Reply, Bengali Women started well, but cant managed to
finish well and able to put only 38 runs for the loss of 9 wickets resulting in
a close defeat of 4 runs.
Skipper Sana Mir, Sadia
Yousuf and Nida Dar share two wickets each.
On the other hand, Sri Lankan Women Team ended with Bronze
Medal as they beat China.
Men T20 Competition will start on Saturday, however Asian
Powers Pakistan and India both are not taking part in tournament as their
players are already busy in Champions League and upcoming Pak-Australia Series to
be Held in UAE.
