Major General Rizwan Akhtar named New DG ISI

Current DG ISI Gen Zaheerul Islam will leave his post as he will retire on 1 October. Major General Rizwan has been named as new DG ISI. According to tweet of Director General ISPR (Inter Service Public Relations) Gen Asim Bajwa tweet that, Major General Rizwan Akhtar has been promoted to the new rank as Major General from his previous designation of Lieutenant General.

Postings: MG Rizwan to DGISI, Hidayat to Psr Corps,Navid Mukhtar to Kci Corps, Hilal Hussain-Mangla, Ghayur Mahmood-Gujranwala, Nazir Butt-C&IT.

Major General Rizwan Akhtar previously worked as DG Rangers Sindh, he will take charge as DG ISI after Current DG will retire on coming October.
